The complete quilt will look like the pattern shown.  Had to use some math skills (fractions, percentages, geometric designs) to decide how much of each of the fabrics I’ll use and in what shapes.  I feel more in control now that I’ve done that.  Soon I’ll begin cutting tiny pieces, spreading that activity over several days.

Quilted my first yellow square today.  I like it.  All of the center is done, plus the first round of whites and magentas.  Now I’m moving into the whites/yellows/oranges.

I’ve always preferred to finish a project before I move on; however,  it makes sense as I work on quilting the first to begin cutting shapes for the next—gives me a needed break from doing the same thing all the time.  I’m learning…
