A friend challenged me to do one “big” thing a day. Getting up or showering won’t count! This idea will guide my blog.
Today I spent all morning scanning photos and preparing a poem-like reminiscence for a friend who will have a significant birthday soon. I’ve known him since we were at university a long time ago.
His wife called last week to say she’s preparing a friendship book for his birthday and wants letters and pictures. I have the yearbook from that year, so I scanned the pages with his and my very young pictures, then scanned a more recent school-teacher photo of me. When I finished, I printed the photos on glossy paper and my “poem” on parchment. I mailed it today as directed and now anticipate hearing his reaction.

The sides were even more interesting. Why, why, why would anyone wear those!

Doing one big thing a day is quite a challenge. I’m starting at the beginning of your “glob” to see things in sequence and get a sense of what you’ve been doing. Maybe that’s my big thing for today–taking the time to catch up with you!
